Unable to Wake

Your Tesla wakes up by Tesla sending it a text message.

How long the vehicle takes to receive the text message and wake up depends on the individual vehicle and the local cellular reception.

Fix wake errors

There are a few things you can do:

1. Pair Phone Key which will allow the vehicle to wake over Bluetooth.
2. Restart the vehicle to fix any temporary issue.
3. Disconnect from WiFi and let the vehicle rely on a cellular connection.
4. Improve the cellular reception by parking in a different location.

In rare instances, the vehicle may need a new 12V battery or connectivity board. Tesla Service can help diagnose and replace these items.
