Restarting your Tesla

Like any piece of software or hardware, your vehicle can become unresponsive or demonstrate unusual behavior.

You can restart the vehicle's main computer to remedy many issues by holding down both scroll buttons on the steering wheel until the screen turns off.

If the issue continues, try power cycling the vehicle.

If you're needing to restart frequently

If connectivity is dropping out frequently and requiring regular restarts, it's indicative that Tesla may need to replace the 12V battery or the connectivity board.
