  2. Google requires that Web & App Activity be set to On in your Google account's Activity Controls.

Linking Tessie to Google Assistant or Google Home

Say "Hey Google, talk to Tessie" and you'll be prompted to link your account.

You can also link your account by pressing and holding the Assistant app icon and tapping Explore. Type "tessie" in the search bar and tap the result. Tap Link.

After linking Tessie, you can say things like "Hey Google, ask Tessie to start climate."

If you receive the message "Tessie isn't available on devices set up for your country or region"

Your Google Assistant app's default language must be set to English. To fix this:

  1. Open the Google Assistant app.
  2. In your profile, go to Languages.
  3. Remove other languages and add English to make it your default.
If you receive the message "To let me read out that information, turn on personal results in the Google Home app"

This error is misleading and most often relates to the Google Assistant app. To fix this:

  1. Open the Google Assistant app.
  2. Go to your profile > Devices > (your device).
  3. Enable personal results. If it's already on, turn it off and on again
