Create a Shortcut
Creating a Shortcut in iOS allows you to do several powerful things, including:
- Creating your own custom voice commands. For example, "Hey Siri, get the car ready".
- Combining multiple actions into one. For example, you can have a single Shortcut that starts the climate, sets the interior temperature and heats up the steering wheel.
- Automating your Tesla using scheduling triggers. For example, every weekday at 7AM you can start the climate and start charging the vehicle to 100%.
- Adding controls directly to your home screen.
- Controlling your Tesla by tapping the back of your iPhone.
How to create a Shortcut
- Open the Shortcuts app and tap + in the top right corner. For Apple Watch, make sure you create the Shortcut in the Apple Watch shortcuts folder.
- Tap Add Action > Apps > Tessie > Start Climate (or any command you want.)
- Tap the name of the shortcut at the top of the screen and then tap Rename.
- Enter any phrase you like, like "Get the car ready".
You're done! You can now say "Hey Siri, get the car ready" on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and HomePod.
