Google Home & Assistant Commands
Google is shutting down Home & Assistant voice apps on June 13, 2023.
Check out our migration guide.
See this guide to link Tessie with your devices.
Interacting with your Tesla
Say "Ask Tessie to <command here>" to interact with your Tesla. For example, "Ask Tessie to start climate".
Have more than one Tesla? See this section.
Create your own phrases
See Create a Routine to create your own phrases, like "Hey Google, heat up the car".
Get information about your Tesla
"is the car charged?"
"is the car locked?"
"where's the car?"
"what's the temperature?"
"what's the outside temperature?"
Control doors, windows and trunks
"open front"

Control seat heat:

"stop heating front left seat"
By default, seats are heated to level 3. You can specify heat levels:
"heat front right to 1"
"heat rear left to 2"
"heat rear center to 3"
You can specify any seat supported by your vehicle model:
front left front right rear left rear center rear right third row left third row right
If using seat heaters in a routine, use an underscore in the seat name to make sure that Assistant understands you correctly, like this:
"Talk to Tessie to heat front_left seat"
Locate your Tesla
"honk"
"flash"
Enable keyless driving
"remote start"
"enable keyless driving"
Control Sentry

Tip: Use vehicle names that don't include individual letters or numbers like S, 3, X or Y. Names like "Model 3" aren't understood by Google Assistant since it contains individual letters and numbers.
You can name your vehicle by stepping inside your Tesla and tapping Software from the main settings screen.
We recommend creating a routine to make commands to multiple vehicles fast, easy, fun, and to ensure that Google understands your vehicle names correctly.
